Mireddys González Responds After Court Showdown with Daddy Yankee, Faces Backlash

The initial court session in Daddy Yankee's lawsuit against Mireddys González took place on Friday in Puerto Rico. The reggaeton star's wife, who has maintained a low profile, had not previously issued any public statements. After appearing in court, Mireddys finally addressed the ongoing situation via her Instagram account.

"This process I'm going through right now is just another test to show me that your timing is superior and that I need to draw closer to your presence to become stronger. Because you, my dear God, have the final say, not my circumstances. I don't lose faith and keep moving forward because you, dear God, are with me," Mireddys wrote in her post.

However, her remarks were met with a torrent of criticism from online users. Comments included, "May God forgive you for failing the person who was with you for so many years," and "Where would you be if not for him? Ungrateful is what you are. Daddy Yankee has worked hard to get where he is." Others advised, "Kneel before God, you'll gain more, make a public apology and admit you messed up, forgive yourself because forgiveness is the only thing that frees you." Some harshly criticized, "Now you cling to God, but to make millions, you clung to the devil," and "God has nothing to do with those 100 million you wanted to take without permission." Further comments added, "You never loved him, or at least your actions said it all. How poorly you treated a man who stood by you for over 28 years! Your dear God must not like what you did; don't hide behind a religion you don't practice genuinely."

During the first hearing, an agreement was reached between the singer and Mireddys. Daddy Yankee will resume his role as president of Los Cangris and El Cartel Records, with $75 million in company accounts remaining untouched. The remaining funds can be accessed, but any transaction exceeding $100,000 requires approval from both parties.
