Luis Silva Returns to Instagram with a Humorous Letter to Santa Claus and a Witty Warning

Wednesday, December 25, 2024 by Charlotte Gomez

After being absent from social media for several days, Luis Silva has finally made a comeback on Instagram, bringing along his signature humor. In character as Pánfilo, he sent a letter to Santa Claus containing a clear warning that amused his followers.

In a mock phone call, set beside his Christmas tree adorned with candles instead of lights to avoid overloading the power grid, Silva humorously recounted what he told Santa in his letter. "I've written my letter to Santa and all. I explained, made it clear that, given the current circumstances, he should try to come without the reindeer," he stated with a mock-serious expression, using gestures to emphasize that "circumstances" referred to the food shortages.

"You never know if they'll end up being slaughtered. I mean, I have no idea what the going rate for live reindeer is, but just in case, it's worth warning him. The poor old man comes here to deliver gifts, and his reindeer might vanish," he added with feigned concern.

It seems that Cubans may no longer be able to enjoy new episodes of Vivir del Cuento, the popular comedy show featuring Luis Silva and his neighbors, as it has become a target of censorship by the regime. Recently, Silva has been at the heart of numerous rumors, with the latest sighting of him aboard a flight to Miami sparking questions on social media about whether he intends to stay in the United States with his family this time.
