Renowned comedians Cabo Pantera, El Habanero, and Ulises Toirac have unveiled a unique Christmas offer that humorously claims to eliminate the need for antivirus protection on mobile phones. Known for their distinctive looks, which they cleverly incorporate into their performances, these entertainers have crafted an intriguing proposition that's hard for fans to resist.
The concept originated when the trio stumbled upon each other at a store near Ulises' home. Jokingly, they remarked, "When the dice roll wrong, you end up with three ugly ones in a row! Christmas Eve is already ruined!" The joke suggests that placing a photo of the three of them on a mobile phone will serve as an antivirus update for 2025, given their less-than-complementary appearances.
They humorously caution users about possible side effects: the phone might start smoking, the screen could freeze, or data might deplete within minutes. "You still have time," Cabo Pantera teased on his Instagram account.
On December 31st, Cabo Pantera and El Habanero are scheduled to perform at the famous Rumayor cabaret in Pinar del Río, in a show aptly titled "Don't Panic," as announced in an Instagram video.
Meanwhile, Ulises Toirac has been vocal about his ongoing censorship by the Cuban government, which has prevented him from performing in the country due to his critical stance shared on social media. In June, his scheduled performance in Cienfuegos was abruptly canceled without any official explanation. This incident was not isolated.
Ulises expressed his frustration, highlighting, "Beyond denying someone work because of their ideas or words, the way power makes it clear that free speech is impossible is brutally cowardly." He added, "The ideals they claim to defend 'to the death' are highly questionable unless 'death' refers to someone else, and the weapon is the infinite fear of differing opinions and cowardly power."
In April, he also lamented being barred from performing at a comedy hangout at the Café Teatro Bertolt Brecht in Havana, saying, "Once again, the long arm of the law. I was arranging to perform there by invitation from the guys who run it, at a comedy club held on Saturdays at Café Bertolt Brecht. 'Coincidentally,' I can't work there either."
