On December 26, a transition was scheduled to take place, allowing Daddy Yankee to reassume leadership of the corporations Los Cangris and El Cartel Records. However, neither Mireddys González nor her sister, Ayeicha González, attended the initial meeting. The Puerto Rican reggaeton star's attorney has once again turned to the courts, filing a motion for contempt due to the defendants' failure to comply with the agreement reached in court on December 19.

According to El Nuevo Día, Judge Anthony Cuevas Ramos of the San Juan Court of First Instance is overseeing the case and has scheduled a videoconference hearing for this Friday at 4:00 p.m. The motion filed by Daddy Yankee's legal team indicates that "neither of the parties appeared, and their legal representatives were not adequately prepared to address the issues outlined for the meeting. Initially, it was claimed that Mireddys González was indisposed. It was later admitted that she simply chose not to attend, while Ayeisha González did not have the willingness to attend and failed to show up."

The singer's lawyers argue that, in addition to missing the first meeting, the González sisters did not provide information or documents to their legal representatives, hindering their ability to act on their behalf. "Contrary to the court's instructions, the defendants have refused to relinquish control of the corporations. They aim to fortify and perpetuate their positions within the executive bodies of the entities, from which they also seek to control Daddy Yankee's career, thereby interfering with and disrupting the plaintiff's career and covering up the mismanagement of the entities, having betrayed his trust," the artist's defense adds.

The motion further details that Daddy Yankee "remains in the dark about the corporations, the extent of liabilities and limitations concerning his compositions, accounting records, and even bank accounts." This latest court filing underscores that the legal battle between Daddy Yankee and his estranged wife Mireddys González is far from over, amid ongoing divorce proceedings.
