Charly Faces Backlash Over On-Stage Remarks During Bebeshito's Miami Concert

Tuesday, December 31, 2024 by Matthew Diaz

In the aftermath of Bebeshito's concert in Miami, the event remains a hot topic on social media platforms. A particularly notable moment for the Cuban audience attending the show was when Charly and Johayron joined the stage to perform their hit song "El Punto." However, it was Charly's remark that sparked a heated discussion. "I'm super happy about everything happening with Cuban music. Let's keep supporting what we've achieved, what we've always dreamed of. A round of applause for Charly, Johayron, and Bebeshito; right now, they're Cuba's number one on this stage," Charly declared to the crowd, which included other Cuban artists like Alexander Delgado, Jacob Forever, El Chulo, Dany Ome, and Kevinsito El 13.

His statement quickly led to a wave of criticism online. Several users labeled Charly as "arrogant" and challenged his claim of being "number one," especially at a concert headlined by Bebeshito.

Social Media Reactions

The backlash was swift, with many questioning the singer's demeanor:

"Oh no, at a concert that's not even his. Bebeshito is trending, but those two, that's why they're doing worse every day."

"And who gave him that title?"

"That's why they're deteriorating. The Puerto Ricans are where they are because they respect the hierarchy. Part of the genre's pillars were there, like Alexander and Jacob Forever."

"Since Dany Ome and Kevinsito emerged, Charly and Johayron have significantly declined."
