Multiple videos have surfaced on social media showing an unconventional race involving Soviet-made Lada cars being pushed by people in Cocomar, Playa El Salado, Artemisa. Giorgio Gilardi posted a reel on Facebook depicting this unique event, which might be seen as a symbolic reflection of Cuba's current transportation crisis, worsened by a severe gasoline shortage.

While the original post lacks specific details, the comment section is filled with users offering their interpretations, providing context and potential meanings to the footage. Frank Granda, observing the individuals pushing the cars, remarked, "They are preparing for 2025, that's the future," predicting a further deterioration of the fuel crisis in the coming months. "Soon we'll be like the Flintstones, what decadence! Who says misery doesn't sell?" commented Rene Fernández De Lara García, likening the scene to the famous cartoon where people propel cars with their feet.
