The recently opened dollar-only supermarket at 3rd and 70th in Havana continues to spark conversations on social media and in independent news outlets. The buzz has even attracted Cuban comedian Jardiel, who decided to check out the store despite not having the means to make a purchase. For such an occasion, Jardiel chose what he deemed his most fitting outfit, believing that a supermarket of this magnitude and dollar-exclusive nature warranted the perfect ensemble.

"Everything is priced in dollars, everything is in greenbacks, so I thought, why not go all out in green? I'm going to walk in there standing tall. What do you think? Should I head to 3rd and 70th like this? Just to look, I don't have dollars," he quipped to his followers on social media, showcasing an outfit comprising green pants, a shirt, and shoes.

His second wardrobe choice was a skirt, blouse, hat, sunglasses, a broom in one hand, and a bucket in the other, all in green, and barefoot to potentially "buy" some shoes in dollars. However, his standout look was undoubtedly the last one: Jardiel appeared on camera draped in a sheet designed like a $100 bill, topped with a straw hat.

The new supermarket, launched by the Cuban regime for exclusive sales in dollars, has been met with widespread anger and criticism among Cubans. Despite this, memes and jokes have already begun to circulate.
