Cuban Father Reunites with Children in U.S. Foster Care After Long Separation

Friday, January 10, 2025 by Isabella Sanchez

A Cuban father has reached the United States to reunite with his children, who have been under the care of a foster family. In an exclusive video shared with CiberCuba, the touching moment between the father and one of his children is captured.

"I entered with a visa and was able to see them here; that was the meeting in Las Vegas," he mentioned. Father and son had been apart for two long years before he managed to legally travel to the United States.

"Their father arrives in the United States with a non-immigrant visa to fight for them, as they are in a foster family home. The wonderful reunion is evident in the images," stated the video's creator.

The children were placed in a Foster Family Home, a state-regulated system where children who have been separated from their biological parents due to endangerment issues such as abuse, neglect, abandonment, or other problems, are placed in a family home. The child remains temporarily with a family with whom they share no kinship until a permanent living option becomes available, such as reunification with their biological family, adoption, or reaching adulthood.
