Relatives of a Cuban woman who has gone missing in Mexico have reached out to independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada to publicize the case in hopes of locating her. The young woman, identified as Lorena Rosabal Guevara, is 28 years old and hails from Santiago de Cuba.
"She is on a journey to the United States, but her family has been unaware of her whereabouts since 9:00 AM on December 21, 2024," Mayeta shared on his Facebook page.
According to Lorena's family, the last known location was in San José el Hueyate, within the municipality of Mazatán in the state of Chiapas. She was traveling to Mexico City accompanied by another individual from Santiago de Cuba, known as Jorgito, whose location is also unknown.
"They have reached out to the page requesting that we publish her photos so anyone who recognizes her and can provide her location does so in the messages," the journalist stated.
"Anyone with information about this young woman can write in the comments," he added.
