A Cuban doctor employed in Brazil's public health system stands accused of sexually assaulting a 69-year-old patient during a consultation. The alleged incident took place on September 30 of last year. This doctor is part of the Mais Médicos Program, a joint initiative between the governments of Lula da Silva and Cuba.
The victim recounted that upon entering the consultation, she expressed health concerns and mentioned being a widow. In response, the doctor reportedly looked at her "differently" and began to caress her hands, expressing a desire to have a relationship with a Brazilian woman. According to the complaint, the doctor proceeded to kiss her, lower her pants, reveal his erect penis, and attempt to pull her onto his lap. Although there was no penetration, the man ejaculated. The ordeal ended when someone knocked on the door.
After the incident, the doctor gave the patient a note with his phone number. Distressed, she left the clinic and later reported the incident to the police. Before doing so, however, she received a message on her phone from the doctor, who addressed her as "love" and asked to borrow 84,000 reais to bring his daughter from Cuba, promising to repay her soon.
