Franky Venegas, a Cuban-American rapper and member of the Island Boys duo, found himself in legal trouble once again after being arrested in Naples, Florida. According to TMZ, Venegas was taken into custody on charges of drug possession and having an altered firearm. The 23-year-old artist, also known by his stage name Kodiyakredd, was apprehended on Sunday following a traffic stop and is now facing additional charges, as reported by the Collier County Sheriff's Office.

This is not Venegas' first encounter with the law. Back in May 2024, he was arrested in Fort Lauderdale for impersonating his brother after being pulled over for reckless driving. In another incident in 2023, he faced arrest in Pompano Beach for allegedly assaulting his partner, though those charges were later dropped by prosecutors.

Franky, along with his twin brother, Alex Venegas, skyrocketed to fame in 2021 with their viral hit "I'm an Island Boy," which turned them into media sensations on social platforms. Despite their success, their reputation has been marred by controversies and legal issues. Although his brother, known as Flyy Soulja, has publicly denied any gang affiliations, police records identify Franky as a "documented gang member/associate," as highlighted in the police report mentioned by TMZ.

The most recent arrest occurred when officers pulled over a vehicle for having expired tags, and Venegas was a passenger. During the search, authorities discovered a firearm lacking a serial number and pills that Venegas claimed were prescribed to him, though he failed to provide proof.

As of now, neither Venegas nor his representatives have made any public comments regarding the incident. The Collier County authorities are continuing their investigation, adding to the Cuban rapper's growing list of legal entanglements.
