A Cuban's Critique of Alexander Delgado's Miami Restaurant Experience

Friday, February 28, 2025 by Mia Dominguez

A Cuban visitor took to TikTok to share his experience at Lo D' Alex, the Miami restaurant owned by Alexander Delgado, the frontman of Gente de Zona, after celebrating his father's birthday there.

In the video posted by user @mandycooking, the diner highlighted several positive aspects of the establishment, particularly praising the complimentary parking, which he considered "extremely important" for the convenience it offers patrons.

While he appreciated the restaurant's decor, he noted that the space felt "a bit cramped" and the tables were somewhat small, which did not entirely satisfy him.

Regarding the food, they ordered ceviche as an appetizer and some croquettes, which he described as "delicious." Their meal also included dishes like pork tenderloin, malanga cream, mashed potatoes, and lamb.

However, one aspect left him displeased: the pressure to purchase drinks by the bottle, which he saw as a negative point in his dining experience.

Despite these concerns, the Cuban diner felt that the quality-to-price ratio was favorable, with the total bill amounting to $150, a price he found "very reasonable" for the overall experience at the Cuban artist's restaurant.
