Cuban social media personality "La Cintumbare," whose real name is Cinthya Medrano García, found herself back in Cuba after being deported on Thursday. Despite the circumstances, she seems to have settled in quickly, even joining queues with a bag in hand to purchase groceries. Her Instagram posts reveal her positive outlook, as she shares her joy despite having to wait under the scorching sun for basic necessities.

Underneath a photo of herself in line, she captioned, "Happy in my country." The post has sparked a flurry of comments from both supporters and critics. While some celebrate her deportation, others argue that she will manage just fine in Cuba, regardless of the country's ongoing economic crisis. "I wonder if she'll be able to get back on the ration book," one user questioned. Another added, "Happy without a dollar, car, or a nice house? Now you'll see what living well in that country means."

However, some Cubans believe that her life might be more "relaxed" in Cuba. They speculate that while she might spend her days running errands, her nights will be filled with partying. Indeed, her Instagram stories show her love for nightlife and dancing, as she reportedly enjoyed a night out at a club on Friday.

Before her deportation, La Cintumbare spent several weeks in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Upon her return, she has been optimistic, sharing moments with her son whom she hadn't seen in four years. "I'll be enjoying time with my child and family, but I'll be back with you all soon," she wrote to her followers.

Medrano was among 104 irregular migrants sent back to Cuba on a flight that landed at Havana's José Martí International Airport. She had issues with her immigration status, which ultimately led to her deportation amidst the U.S.'s tightening of immigration policies to curb irregular migration.

According to Martí Noticias, she was deported due to her failure to attend several immigration hearings, resulting in a removal order from the U.S.
