The Cuban people bid a heartfelt farewell to the beloved singer Paulito FG, who tragically passed away in a car accident on Saturday. On Sunday, an emotional funeral procession traversed the streets of Havana as family, friends, musical colleagues, and hundreds of fans gathered to pay their last respects to the artist. His contributions to Cuban music have touched multiple generations.

Social media accounts were flooded with images and videos showing the outpouring of emotion as mourners accompanied his casket, singing some of his most iconic hits. Among the songs echoing through the streets was “La especulación de La Habana,” one of his most cherished works.

The Facebook page "Gozando a lo Cubano" poignantly captured the moment, stating, "THE FINAL FAREWELL! A massive goodbye to the remains of maestro Paulito FG. Until we meet again, maestro." Reflecting the collective mourning, journalist Marianela Dufflar expressed on Facebook her deep respect and admiration for Paulito FG, emphasizing his enduring impact on Cuban music.

"Havana, the capital that he serenaded so often, pays tribute on behalf of all of Cuba to one of its most beloved sons and artists. You are and will remain a living legend of Cuban music and culture. Glory to you, Paulito FG," she wrote, capturing the sentiment of a nation in mourning.

In a similar vein, actress Sailin Carbonell took to Instagram to convey the nation's grief: "Rest in Peace, Pablito!!!"

According to OnCuba, the burial was scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Havana's Cristóbal Colón Cemetery. The news site noted the overwhelming sense of loss felt by many as they bid farewell to this iconic Cuban artist, who tragically lost his life in a car crash along the Malecón.

Additionally, a large gathering took place at the funeral home located at Calzada and K, where dozens came to say their final goodbyes in a moving display of affection.
