A young couple, identified as "Ketty" and "Hansel," were viciously assaulted in a motorcycle theft incident in Santa Cruz del Norte, located in the province of Mayabeque. The attack occurred three days ago as they were returning to their home in the secluded area known as "El Rubio." Not only did they lose their mode of transportation, but they also endured inhumane brutality.

According to lawyer Manuel Viera, who brought attention to the case on social media, the assailants didn't stop at merely stealing the motorcycle. They subjected the victims to extreme violence, breaking their fingers to remove rings, dislocating their jaws, and extracting gold teeth. Believing the couple to be dead, the attackers then threw them into a ravine beside the road.

The victims were eventually rescued and urgently transported to a hospital in Havana. As of an update provided by Viera at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, the couple was reported to be out of danger despite their severe injuries.

Family Demands Justice and Offers Substantial Reward

Alpízar González, Ketty's father, has offered a substantial reward for information leading to the identification and capture of those responsible for this violent attack. He pledged 30 million for information provided within the first 24 hours, and 15 million thereafter.

On social media, hundreds of users have expressed shock and outrage over the brutal robbery, calling for justice and stronger actions against the perpetrators.

A Problem That Cannot Be Ignored

Lawyer Manuel Viera has emphasized the importance of bringing such incidents to light to ensure they are not forgotten or ignored. "A nation is not built with 'likes.' Incidents like these must not be overlooked or silenced to protect images or political interests. Silence does not prevent such occurrences," he stated firmly.

Viera clarified that his aim is not to sensationalize or gain followers but to inform the public about the increasing insecurity affecting citizens. He has refused to share images of the attack out of respect for the victims and their families, stating he will not comply with requests for photos from social media users.

As of the closure of this report, no further details about the unfortunate event have been released.
