A blaze on the hillside that hosts the Cuban Television transmission tower in Santa Clara has sparked significant concern among the residents of this central region. As reported by state-run journalist Henry Omar Pérez, at present, personnel from the Ministry of the Interior and the Fire Department are actively engaged in extinguishing efforts to prevent damage to this crucial communication infrastructure.

The affected transmission tower plays a vital role, as it serves the province of Villa Clara and also extends its coverage to parts of Sancti Spíritus and Cienfuegos. In response to the proximity of the flames, officials have shut down the electric generator that powers the tower.
