On Instagram, a single image can speak volumes, even if it's only visible for a short time. When it comes from La Dura, Cuban influencer with over 3 million followers, it prompts careful scrutiny. Recently, she shared a story believed by many to be a cleverly crafted jab at another Cuban celebrity, Rachel Arderi.
The buzz started after Rachel, the wife of reggaeton artist Bebeshito, revealed her first look following an accident in Miami weeks ago. While her post garnered support, it also sparked comparisons. Content creator Un Martí To Durako observed that Rachel's outfit was strikingly similar to ensembles previously worn by fellow Cuban influencers Amanda Catineyra (La Pocahontas) and Amanda Díaz Rojas.
Amidst this, La Dura, whose real name is Diliamne Jouve, posted a story seemingly responding to the source of fashion inspiration. She shared a photo of herself in a remarkably similar outfit, taken in 2024. Although the story was removed shortly after, it remained online long enough for some users to capture it, interpreting it as a pointed message.
Was it mere coincidence, a deliberate message, or a subtle territorial claim? Regardless, without uttering a word, La Dura ensured she was the talk of the town.
It's worth noting that Rachel Arderi and La Dura share several commonalities. Both reside in Miami—though La Dura has been there longer—are married to reggaeton artists, and are entrenched in the social media realm. However, their digital reach differs significantly: Rachel currently boasts over 720,000 followers, while La Dura has built a digital empire.
This isn't the first instance of La Dura's cryptic communication. A few weeks ago, she posted a video singing “Son yo, pero copia china,” which she also deleted soon after. Many saw it as another veiled dig under the guise of lighthearted fun.
In the world of Cuban influencers, an Instagram story can be more telling than a speech. La Dura, without saying a word, managed to convey it all.
