In an emotional plea shared online, Cuban resident Yeney Portelles Pérez is seeking assistance to locate the relatives of an elderly man who is alone and in critical condition at the Julio Trigo Hospital in Arroyo Naranjo, Havana. According to her post in the Facebook group "Compra venta Artemisa, la Habana y Mayabeque," the man is desperately searching for his son, Alain Hernández Castro, as well as other family members he mentions: his granddaughter Dávila Hernández Rostesa and his cousin Henríquez Dávila García.

The elderly man, named Francisco Hernández, hails from Bainoa, Mayabeque, and claims that his son has some connection to the social worker at the Jaruco nursing home known as "La Chiqui." Yeney, who is at the hospital with her father, described the dire situation: "He is dying and is not receiving care here; the conditions are poor, and the elderly man urgently needs help from a family member."

In the comments section of her post, Yeney explained that Julio Trigo Hospital takes in people from the streets, providing them with food and clean clothing, yet many have family members unaware of their whereabouts or the fact that they are hospitalized. She wrote, "For some, it may be that their family doesn't care or they've gone missing; that could be the case, but others have families who don't know where they are."

Yeney added that she has previously helped reconnect other elderly patients with their families, but the man in bed 23 of ward C has been especially challenging. "He says he does have family, but they don't know he's been admitted. He went to get his meals from the nursing home where he lives, and they brought him to the hospital due to his health condition, causing him to lose contact with his son," she explained.

The post has been shared multiple times in hopes that someone might help locate the elderly man's loved ones so they can provide the attention he needs during this critical time. Many people have been touched by the situation and have expressed concern.

Yeney is also seeking help to find the family of Leopoldo López López, an elderly musician deported to Cuba in 2020 after spending several decades in the United States. According to Natasha Vázquez on Facebook, Leopoldo has three American citizen children with Facebook profiles under the names Rico Rummba, Veronica Gwyn, and Antonio Gwyn. Attempts have been made to contact them, but so far, without success.
