Cuban reggaeton artist Yomil Hidalgo has finally addressed the reasons behind the absence of new music from the duo Yomil and El Dany, despite having a wealth of recorded material. In a candid Instagram story, Yomil revealed that the delay is not due to a lack of content, but rather an emotional and conceptual issue. He admitted, "It's true, but I feel they're not 100% complete yet. I haven't been clear on the concept, and it's very challenging to create something impactful without my little brother's presence," referring to El Dany, who passed away in July 2020.

Yomil emphasized that he is not interested in releasing tracks with his late partner just for the sake of it. There is a significant difference between his solo projects and those representing the duo. "It's not the same as when I release solo tracks for fun, not caring if they succeed or not. But with @yomilyeldany, it's not about experimenting; it's about pushing boundaries and not failing, to prove why we are legends and made history," he stated.

The artist reassured fans that when the time is right, the songs will be released in succession, leaving a lasting impact: "Haste is not elegant; just know that when they come out, they will be one after the other." The post was accompanied by a photo of Yomil with El Dany, seemingly taken on a Havana street, evoking the early days and the artistic bond they shared.

With this statement, Yomil reaffirms his dedication to honoring the musical legacy of the duo, highlighting that it's not about quantity, but about respect, quality, and emotion.
