The popular influencer and chef from Guantánamo, Dailis Ferrer Moreira, known for her site "Receta Cubana," had been without some of the fruits that defined her childhood on the island for five years. Her unexpected reunion with these flavors recently occurred in Spain, where she has lived since 2020, and was captured in a couple of videos that quickly went viral within the Cuban community on social media.

Renowned for her dedication to keeping Cuban culinary traditions alive both inside and outside the country, Dailis expressed her joy upon discovering mamey, guava, sugar apple, plums, tamarinds, and mamoncillos in a Madrid fruit shop. "It's been years since I've tasted this," she confessed with excitement.
