The two sisters were also exponents of the lyric, although Bella left the writing, despite the tenderness of her poems, published in the magazine Espuela de Plata and Fina, continued the work to leave not only the descendent of her flesh but also of her word, poetry, critic and essay and deserve, as her husband Cintio, as her brother in law Eliseo, the National Award of Literature.
Lezama Lima who cultivated the friendship of these four lovers, used to praise the intelligence and the sensibility of the girls and also applauded the beauty of Bella that was the wife death of her son Constante (Rapi), who was a filmmaker and draftsman and who also illustrated some of the books of his father.
First Eliseo and then Cintio deserved also the International Award Juan Rulfo in Mexico and gave a continuity to their blood in children who their surrounded by music, letters and images, because out of the love that they shared with the sisters Bella and Fina were born composers, writers and filmmakers, as beautiful books made out of a great love that magnetized the live of those exemplary couples of the Cuban culture, who have been not only mentors of several generations, as mine generation that is always in debt with these men and women who in the 40s of the XX century in the group Origenes answered to the apathy, the corruption, the pessimism of a republic subjected to a dependency and ignorance, populated by the unliterary and misery and they answered with faith and poetry, stories and novels, essays capable of translating the beauty of the human word and also of radiate optimism in front of the destruction.
Bella García Marruz was born the 15 of November 1921 and just died, surrounded by the love of her family and also of all of us who joint that multiplied affection that feed the relationship with the Vitier-Diego-García Marruz, days prior to the 85 birth date of her brother in law Cintio. The pain is shared as the silence that respects the tears and devotion.
That woman who shared the live with Eliseo Diego, one of the greatest writers of the Hispanic tongue of the XX century, was also a remembered intellectual, graduated ion Pedagogy, who taught Spanish and Literature at the Havana University and also gave special curses of education for adults.
As she was remarkable from her modesty as "one of the best promoters of the work of the group Origenes from it start, together with her sister Fina García Marruz", responsible also of such a light in the writing of her partner, that we so love. Therefore, the absence of Bella is also painful to us, although we are consoled by the poems she inspired and the love she always gave to friendship, home and family.
