A cultural Gala, representing the best of cultural talent in Camagüey, opened the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Radio Cadena Agramonte.

The ceremony took place in the patio area of the beautiful colonial building currently occupied by the Historian Office of the City of Camagüey.

With brushstrokes of some emblematic shows of Camaguey insignia radio station, such as Zafra Musical, Miscelánea, the Provincial Newsreel and other programs, the ceremony was graced with the presence of the Choir of Camaguey, the Duet Scherzo and the singer Niurka Taupier.

Directives of Radio Cadena Agramonte, on behalf of all its workers, received the recognitions of diverse institutions, organizations and enterprises.

Among other officials, Rosario Pentón Díaz, member of the Political Bureau of Cubas Communist Party attended the Gala.

Radio Cadena Agramonte will turn 50 years old on June 9th - till then a broad program of activities is scheduled to commemorate such an important date.
