Cuban poet, essayist and critic César López was declared Huesped Ilustre (Illustrious Guest) of Asunción, capital of Paraguay.
During his visit to this South American country, the National Prize of Literature read some poems and presented a book made by him, co-written by the Paraguayan fellow Jacobo Ruskin.
