"Now I have legal council with Eduardo Contreras, who advised my friend Gladys Marin in the first dispute against (Augusto) Pinochet, in 1989", the poet and composer reported to Prensa Latina.
"This is the first time in 60 years anyone tries to prosecute me for something," he stated.
Silvio cancelled a concert on March 8 in the Chilean town of Talca, 158 miles south of Santiago de Chile.
The cause of that decision was the protest for the high price of the tickets, that was between 40,000 to 60,000 Chilean pesos, or between 80 and 110 dollars.
The lawyers Rodrigo Gonzalez and Eduardo del Campo presented a lawsuit representing the people that had purchased tickets.
The Chilean lawyer Eduardo Contreras is member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Chile and a specialist in Human Rights.
