Cuba is represented at the First Border Social Forum in Juarez, on the border with the US (El Paso), at which some 850 delegates from more than 150 social organizations from both sides of the border are expected.
One of the international invited guests, Legislator Leonel Gonzalez will participate in several of the forum's panels including emigration, terrorism, and regional integration.
Gonzalez said he will attend a plenary meeting on solidarity with the Cuban Five anti-terrorists imprisoned in the US since 1998, along with Mirta Rodriguez, mother of Cuban Five Antonio Guerrero.
Rodriguez is in Mexico since Oct 5 to support the international drive for the release of the Cuban Five, given unlawful sentences at a biased trial in Miami.
