Some 800 intellectuals and artists from 20 countries confirmed their participation to the 27th Festival of the Caribbean, to be held on July 3-9 at Santiago de Cuba city.

According to preliminary figures, Feast of Fire as it is also known, will count with the highest foreign and national participation since it began taking place almost three decades ago.

This coming edition will be dedicated to Popular Dominican Culture, country to which jubilee will be dedicated for second time.

The Colloquium "The Caribbean that Unite us", to be held as part of the event and to be in charge of Dominican anthropologist Marcio Veloz Maggiolo, opens a space for discussion of topics related to Culture and Globalization.
