The agreement was inked by Christian Jimenez Molina, the director of Cuba's National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), and Romodan Osman Awliyay, a sports commissioner from the African nation.
The agreement, renewable after its five year term, stipulates that four Cuban experts in basketball, volleyball, athletics, and boxing will work in Eritrea, while people from that nation will be trained in Cuba as sports specialists.
The INDER director suggested that joint sports competitions and training take place between the two countries, while Awliyay thanked Cuba for its support in athletics and Cuban aid being provided in fields such as agriculture and healthcare.
