Cuba ready for sports event
Cuba is putting the final touches on the 4th Regional Summit of the International Association for Sports and Physical Education, Granma newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The meeting, slated for April 2-7 at the Varadero beach resort, includes lectures, courses, workshops, panels of experts and poster exhibits.
The aim is to exchange experiences to assimilate new techniques and models for diversifying physical activity, and foster scientific researchers in this branch in Latin America and the Caribbean and relations among experts, institutions and specialized associations.
It will be attended by professors, psychologists, physicians, physical education and school sports teachers, kinesiologists, historians, sociologists and researchers among others.
