Cuba revamps eastern airport

The "Sierra Maestra" International Airport in the eastern Cuban province of Granma concluded a modernization process that left a 2.6 km long landing strip, according to an official report published Monday.
A report from the Tourism Ministry, reflected in its website www.cubatravel.cu, indicated the airport is already giving first-quality international services.
Located to eight kilometers from Manzanillo city, the airport has modern redecorated areas for travelers like waiting rooms and service cabins for passengers.
This airport can admit planes of enormous size in outward bound and return journeys from different European destinations.
