Cuba is taking actions to strengthen tourist ties with Germany, as part of efforts to increase tourist arrivals in the Caribbean Island.
With that goal in mind, the two countries signed several agreements to promote bilateral tourist relations.
The accords were inked during a recent visit by the deputy prime minister of the German federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Jürgen Seidel.
The agreements establish the exchange of experts and students, as well as the beginning of operations by a German agency that will organize tours from that German region to Cuba.
Cuban authorities noted Germany's interest in collaborating in developing services related to the expansion of the leisure industry.
