The Latin American Perfusion Council convened for June 27-30 at Hotel Nacional de Cuba the 6th Congress of Extracorporeal Technology.

Doctor Antolin Romero Suarez, president of the organizing committee, said the meeting will gather over 120 foreign delegates and near 100 experts from Cuban cardiovascular centers.

The agenda includes education and certification programs, ethics in perfusion, Micro-circulation, Emotional Intelligence Workshop, Artificial Blood, and Heart, Lung and Liver transplant.

The event includes a display of the latest perfusion technology.

All Cuban wards for open heart surgery are equipped with life support technology and trained staff whose quality relies on non-stop training and exchange with world known institutions.
