Cuba to host Invisible Cinema Festival

On April 16 the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain and the International Poor Cinema Festival of Gibara, Cuba will convene the First Invisible Cinema Festival in Gibara.
Cuban filmmaker Humberto Solas told Prensa Latina that every year humankind deprives itself of valuable audiovisual works which could enrich and broaden spiritual horizons, and this new project will promote otherwise unseen works.
These are important works of artistic value that have not been distributed because of their experimental, iconoclastic spirit, or because of prejudices they may trigger, he explained.
The International Invisible Cinema Festival will show what has not been distributed or what is extrapolated from cinema s cultural heritage due to censorship, artistic undervaluation or any other reason.
