Cuba Wins gold and silver in Pan-Am Cycling meet

Cuban athletes Julio Herrera and Lisandra Guerra won Gold and Silver respectively in the first stage of the Pan-American Cycling championship underway until May 27 in Valencia City, Venezuela.
Julio Herrera was followed by Colombian Hernan Sanchez (silver) and by his countryman Ahmed López, all in the keirin track cycling modality.
Meanwhile, in the women's category, same modality, Lisandra Guerra took the silver after US Jennie Reed who took the gold, while Mexican Nancy Contreras finished third and took the bronze.
