The gathering closed Saturday an intensive program of activities that started Tuesday with the opening of the 61st UN General Assembly session period.
The member of the Cuban Communist Party Political Bureau addressed Wednesday the General Assembly in which he denounced the US aggression against his country.
In his speech, Lazo gave detailed information of the 14th Non-Aligned Movement Summit held in Havana that his country presides over for a second time in the NAM history since September 15.
Other activities included laying wreath at the Jose Marti bust located at this city's Central Park, visiting the New York neighborhood of Harlem, the place where the Teresa Hotel was erected when President Fidel Castro traveled to the UN in 1960 and the Riverside Church, place where the Cuban leader delivered a relevant speech in 2000.
The Cuban delegation also attended Wednesday an act of solidarity in the neighborhood of Harlem, which was held at the Church of the Intercessio.
