Members of the Cuban medical brigade will develop their First Scientific Event in Sao Tome and Principe, from June 6 to 8, a diplomatic source told Prensa Latina.
Specialists of the Caribbean island are preparing and revising materials for the event and also supporting their local colleagues.
One of the presentations is about a surgical technique used for the first time in this African archipelago.
It is the ventricle-peritoneum derivation technique of congenital hydrocephaly, which was Cuban doctors Antonio Sierra and Katty Leon s debut in this country, along with Sao Tome doctor Elizabeth Barros.
Cuban doctors will contribute to Sao Tome and Principe s three-day health debates, speaking of their work over 30 years.
