The radical transformations adopted in Cuba to produce energy-saving electricity constitute an example for the world.
Three basic reasons led to determine how to guarantee a stable low-cost electricity distribution: the hurricanes, an inefficient old system and the high prices of the oil in the market.
The replacement of kitchen appliances and the distribution of saving bulbs are two measures with great social impact in the population.
Abovementioned measures will not only make life easier but they will also lower the disproportional use of gas and kerosene both of which have been traditionally used for cooking purposes.
The Cuban energetic revolution is based on the program of distributed generation and the use of powerful generators with low fuel consumption which will save 1 000 million dollars for the country.
