Festival on Romantic Music in Las Tunas this weekend
Famous personalities of the "bolero" music will be honored this weekend in this of Cuban eastern province of Las Tunas, where the provincial version of the International Festival Boleros de Oro is on the way.

The main theater of this city, 657 kilometers from Havana, will be scenario on Saturday and Sunday nights to sing to Elena Burke, Roberto Sanchez, Lino Borges and Fernando Alvarez, voices that make that rhythm eternal in Cuba.

The artistic talent for this show is integrated by young singers from Las Tunas, such as Naiyibis Cespedes, Carlos Vargas, Monica Miranda, Berly Fernandez, Camilo Hechavarria, Kaling Ribelles and Guislane Ochoa. Besides the groups Contrapunto, Siguaraya and the Trio Voces de Hoy.

The bolero rhythm arrived at Cuba with its Spanish roots, preferably of gypsy influence to be a dance with slow movements, but here in this Caribbean island combined with the African music, its drums and other musical instruments to acquire that final cadence.

It is said that the first Bolero written in Cuba was made by Pepe Sanchez and its title was "Sadness".

The International Festival Boleros de Oro has been organized by the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba for 21 years and this weekend will take place the provincial version in Las Tunas, but its great party will be held in the Cuban capital this month.
