First cuban blind woman graduates from Lyrical Music School

Alealys Rivero Guevedo has become the first blind woman to have completed her lyrical singing course at Havana's Higher Arts Institute.
A dream come true for Alealis, her graduation will take place next July 19 at the ceremony marking the 32 anniversary of the Cuban National Association of the Blind.
The Cuban singer has participated in numerous festivals and concerts where she has been granted several prizes. She has also worked at Cuban radio and television.
With her success, the Cuban blind woman has opened a new path for the visually impaired and blind people with capabilities for that arts manifestation, said Cuban musicians.
