Colombian Nobel Prizewinner Gabriel Garcia Marquez headed the homage for the 20th anniversary of the San Antonio de los Baños International Movie and TV School in south Havana.
The outstanding writer leading the construction and foundation of that center with Cuban President Fidel Castro and filmmakers Julio Garcia Espinosa and Fernando Birri, he visited the institution accompanied by students.
The celebrations having their central act on December 15 will include the presentation of two books "Memories of the 20 Years" and "Art Never Dies", graffiti made by director Francis Ford Coppola at the mentioned school.
Garcia Marquez will also open a sample of works by graduates in the context of the 28th International festival of the New Latin American Cinema taking place in the Cuban capital until December 15.
