Greanada's Health Minister to discuss training for nurses in Cuba

Grenada's Health Minister, Sen. the Hon Ann David-Antoine, left Grenada this morning for Cuba, on an official visit which is scheduled to end on Sunday November 5, 2006.
According to Minister Antoine, who in recent times has successfully negotiated for several health benefits for Grenadian medical practitioners and Grenadian citizens, the aim of this present visit is to strengthen the existing relationship with both countries in the area of medicine and health care.
One of the main topics of discussion will be plans and development for Grenadian nurses in the near future, since, according to Minister Antoine, Government is concerned about training and development in the area of nursing and every effort is being made to provide the necessary training for Grenadian nurses.
As part of her visit, Minister Antoine will be visiting Grenadian medical students along with Grenadian citizens who are currently undergoing or awaiting treatment as part of the Miracle Eye Mission program, from which hundreds of Grenadians have benefited.
