The Cuban capital, which has a population of two million, is a major tourist destination in the country.
According to official statistics, nearly 50 percent of foreign vacationers who visited the Caribbean Island this year chose the Cuban capital, as well as Varadero and Jardines del Rey (King's Gardens), as their favorite destinations in the country.
In addition to beach and sun options, Havana also offers historic and cultural values, and safety.
The Cuban capital has a broad hotel infrastructure and treasures the wealth of its Historic Heart in Old Havana.
Tourists can also enjoy the eastern Havana beaches, and beautiful parks such as Lenin, the National Zoo and the Botanic Gardens, in addition to Expocuba, the largest exhibition hall in the country, as well as museums, art galleries, theaters and restaurants.
Experts recalled that Havana contributes nearly 32 percent of the country's revenues by concept of tourism.
