La Acacia Gallery inaugurated this weekend the personal exhibition Where the River Flow, homage of the plastic artist Ever Fonseca to his native town Manzanillo, with the presence of the artist.
The 20 works included in the exhibition range from the 50 centimeters up to three meters and they were created with different materials like cloth, metal, paper and wood.
The piece Totem of Peace and the series of Jigües, as well as the repeated appearance of the word wilds in the titles of his works explain the author's intention of approaching the public to Afro-Cuban and natural motifs.
The animals, the flowers, and the land are elements that illustrate what on Fonsecas own words " was the world I discovered every day, the force of emotions" which this time comes enriched by his humble aesthetics and his deep study of the Cuban culture.
