The 3rd National Television Festival scheduled for January 17th-21st, in Havana. The Festival awards several categories of the best works broadcasted on television during the last year; intense cultural program during the days of the encounter; exchange, and reflections in the theoretical event.
Idea, image and sound summon again, this January, directors and journalists during the third edition of the National Television Festival. The event has attempted since its creation, to stimulate the work of the audiovisual creators and enable the necessary exchange and reflection about the media.
From January 17th to January 21st will meet directors, scriptwriters, technicians, actors, journalists, and staff of the telecenters of the country, of mountain television, of the new municipal TV stations, as well as the national divisions. There will be samples of works in competition in the two big sections: fiction and works recreating reality, as well as news programs, with 33 categories in total. The programs with nominations in the different specialties of the media will also be exhibited (37).
A large number of cultural activities will accompany the days of the Festival with particular interest in those meant for children. Likewise the customary theoretical event will be developed with debates on diverse topics of the television audiovisual creation.
The opening ceremony of the Festival in its third edition will take place in La Rampa cinema, on January 17th, at 10:00 a.m. From that day on will begin the projections of the nominated works until the final night when will be granted and made official the awards in each category. Among them, the jury will select the Great Award that will go to the best program in television in the year recently finished.
The third edition of the National Television Festival is once again among us as a way to contribute to raise the quality and ethical and aesthetic values of the television programming with the promotion and awarding of the best achieved programs. The women and men who make our television day after day come together this January again, in a friendly competition and productive theoretical exchanges about the proposals of that audiovisual means which has a strong influence in the great public.
