International Podiatry Congress opens in Cuba

National and Foreign podiatrists are gathering in Havana for the First International Podiatry Congress "PodoCuba 2007" underway March 26-28 in this capital city.
Participants will exchange on a wide array of podiatry-related issues, including vascular, skin, neurological problems, PL news agency reported.
The president of the event's organizing committee, Jorge Gonzalez, said the agenda also includes exchange on pharmacology, natural and traditional medicine, and the risk posed by diabetes on human feet, as well as other aspects.
Podiatry has been practiced in Cuba since the 17th century.
