Italian culture week in Cuba

Sponsored by the Culture Ministry, the Historian's Office and the Cuban Committee of the Dante Allighieri Society, the event will offer literary meetings, fine arts, music and movies from that European nation.
It will open at the Fine Arts Museum with a concert by Cuban pianist Fran Paredes, and the recital Poetry and Jazz with Italian writer Giuseppe Conte and musicians Larry Franco, Dodo Goya and Michele Carrabba.
Writers Steffano Di Prieto and Cristiano Beffa are slated to read cantos 26th of Inferno, 11th of Purgatorio and 23rd of Paradiso from the Divine Comedy at the Union of Artists and Writers of Cuba 's headquarters.
Likewise, books El vientre de Napoles (Naples' Womb) by Matilde Searo, and La siembra secreta del alma (The Secret Sowing of the Soul) an anthology of Giovannni Pascoli, among others, will be presented.
In addition, a concert by trio Solisti della Scala will round off the Italian week at the Amadeo Roldan Theater.
