In summarizing the days commission meetings as a prelude to Tuesdays plenary session, Machado said the preparations for the event are excellent with documents that reflect the situation of the nation and have a constructive focus as to the role of the labor movement.
However, the Communist Party official noted that the battle is just beginning and will only be won when the adopted agreements and resolutions reach the workers at their locals and are applied.
"Its hard work to take these debates and agreements to all the workers; our success will lay in the work on a one-to-one basis with the members to make these resolutions become conscience and actions," said Machado.
He added that the committee on employment, organization of the workplace and salaries is one of the most important at the forum, which continues Tuesday with plenary discussions on the 16 proposed resolutions.
Topics such as salary increases this year without a corresponding increase in production, low productivity, the role of the unions in todays workplace and the special program that some businesses are implementing to improve operations are expected to be the center of discussions on the third day of the congress that ends Wednesday.
