This May 15 will be delivered in Havana the Latinity Prize 2007 for poet Roberto Fernández Retamar.

The accolade, sponsored by the Union Latina de Cuba was conferred also to this eminent professor, essayist and current chairman of Casa de las Américas, due to its relevant presence in the Cuban literary production and his contribution to teh study and promotion of the Latinamerican identity.

The aim of this prize, set in Cuba around 2001, is to distinguish prestigious intellectuals devoted to highlight and preserve the cultural patrimony of the region.
