Maria Caridad, Maria Mercedes and Magalys were born on 1960, 1964 and 1968 on the same day and month as their mother, January 11.

The unique coincidence is considered by Novoa as a privilege reserved to her, a resident of the Las Terrazas community, about 60 miles west of Havana.

The Cuban mother, 69, currently retired, told Prensa Latina that was a present life has given her and some don't even believe in such a coincidence, she said.

The community of Las Terrazas in the Sierra del Rosario mountains in Pinar del Rio, with little more than 800 inhabitants, has been declared Reserve of the Biosphere by UNESCO.

Since the 70s of the last century, the community was developed as part of a reforestation program through the terrace system and the rescue of natural, historic and cultural values, though the unique coincidence was not in the planners' blueprint.
