Mozart in Martí

In 1875 José Martí attended a concert at a Mexican Conservatory, and while listening to the music, he highly praised Mozarts work by saying:
"...that you get to love and smell, listen to and respect, while feeling the exquisite tenderness with which Mozart created and wrote it. Mozart broke through the dense rational atmosphere in which the second half of the 18th century came wrapped (...) keeping in his musical notes sighs coming from his abandoned sad soul .."
And the following statement appeared in the Mexican magazine Universal " his music is a sort of angels' moans".
