Over a dozen new health services are now available in Camilo Cienfuegos community polyclinic in north Yaguajay, a municipality in the Cuban central province of Sancti Spiritus.
Being one of the most important health facilities built in the territory after the triumph of the Revolution, this medical center has been equipped with state-of-the-art technology which enables higher accuracy when analyzing complementary clinical tests.
The new health center has been provided, among other services, with an advanced vital support unit as well as thrombolysis, ophthalmology, minor surgery and endoscopy tests, the latter being so far exclusive of the provincial hospital. There are also observation wards and specialized clinics.
The modern physiotherapy room was refurnished thus improving the rehabilitation possibilities to all patients, including those complaining of cardiopathies and blood pressure disorders.
The new polyclinic is also used for educational purposes since future doctors, nurses and technician can be trained there.
